We looked at the home today. It was beyond beautiful. I mean, just beyond. Literally the only downside to the place is that it’s all tile and hardwood floors—gorgeous, but not exactly ideal for the newly-crawling and just-about-to-walk Desmond.
Oh, and the fact that it’s an hour outside of Los Angeles, and if I don’t make enough money to support us out there, there’s almost no job market.
That’s the big detriment to leaving L.A. Here, if I absolutely must, there’s half a dozen people I can call to get a job. We’ve never needed to resort to that. We always scrape it together month to month. But with the daycare done, and our discovery that we’re nowhere near as prepared as we thought we were, it’s looming over my head.
Still, though. Those mountains. Those forests. That house. There are horses on the property. Fucking horses.
I need to make ten thousand dollars, like, tomorrow, and move my family to Frazier Park.
On another note, I started the first VlogaNovel stream today and began work on the Darkfire cover. It needs tweaking, but I already kind of love it. I’ll wrap it up tomorrow and start working on the outline.
